great plans are worthless

A good plan, or even a great plan, is nothing more than writing. The plan is an idea that has been captured in some level of detail and usually outlines the steps pre, during and post completion. However, without the action or the execution of the plan there is no value that can be achieved from the plan itself. I thought about… I dreamed of… I want to… All great aspirations but without follow through amount to nothing more than a vision. Plans often sit in an idle state for a variety of reasons; funding, ability, courage to name a few. Greatness only comes through perseverance, dedication and activity.

As we prepare to end this year and start another make a new resolution for yourself. Be bold! Take one idea that you would not have normally pursued and chase it! Take plans and set them to motion. Kinetic, or stored, energy is meant to be set free! There are a variety of ways that you can get help. Consider using the Small Business Administration for tips and tools if you are starting a small business. If you are looking for venture capital, consider using Kickstarter, GoFundMe or other sites to support your cause.

The bottom line is that there is no excuse to not pursue that passion, idea, business venture or project. Yes, there is still going to be hard work involved but the excuses are just reasons you have created to not do it.
